Things To Be Thankful For
That Winning Feeling

Things that made me smile in spite of my painful migraine headache:

The joy on my mother’s face when David Cook was announced the American Idol winner

The joy on my mother’s face when Manchester United were crowned winners of the UEFA Champions League

Finding a sachet of instant coffee at the bottom of the snack drawer

The smell of magazines with uncoated pages

My geriatric cat giving me the “I love you so much” gaze :)

My Cat Loves Me

A group of teenage girls was sitting next to me as I was eating lunch at a fast-food restaurant on Wednesday. They were talking about their schools assignments, boys, mobile phones and er, boys.

20 minutes later, the group left and a gang of 3 teenage boys took their place. The topic of the boys’ conversation moved from girls to mobile phones to Friendster accounts and then back to girls. Ah…the priorities of youth! I’m glad I’m no longer a teen — such a stressful and confusing period!

I remarked to B a few days ago that I’m in a comfortable position in my life where I’m glad for the lessons of the past and look forward to the fruits of the future. Guess that’s one more thing to be thankful for! :)

What are you grateful for today?

I'm grateful for family, friends and all the opportunities we have to enjoy one another's company and add to our ever growing collection of lovely memories. When I was at my lowest ebb health-wise I drew upon these memories and they gave me the reserve strength I needed to smile and to recover. I've also grateful for inspirational blogs like yours and for the bloggers who create them. Have a good weekend. best regards, TT

It's been a beautiful day, and I was able to leave work early, but, strange as it sounds, the thing I'm most grateful for is seeing a beautiful garter snake resting on my fence this afternoon. Black and yellow stripes with little ruby dots all down its body...just amazing.

We actually watched that Manchester United game. Well, Todd watched it and was happy for the winner. I kinda fell asleep! ;)

Hi Ginger! I am thankful for everything (my family, the roof over our heads, the food on the table, the clothes we wear, the car that takes us to work, the work that pays my bills, the bills for the services...), everyday. No matter how mundane my day gets, I am grateful to have these blessings, great or small. Thankful too to have found blog friends like you!!!
