Not Something You’d Usually Say

“Hurry up! Your dinner’s getting warm!”

I yelled to my husband, after preparing a batch of zaru soba (cold buckwheat noodles) last night.

Sounds extremely yummy. I've had soba alongside my sushi on occasion. In fact I once had a tray of soba served with a sauce on the side. I didn't realize the sauce was for dipping and poured it over my soba...without also realizing that the tray was porous. I had to work fast with my napkin to save my clothes.

That's funny! Eating at a japanese restaurant does present a lot of opportunities for a faux pas. I used to think that edamames are supposed to be eaten whole (pods and all) and heaven forbid if orders all come at once- I wouldn't know what sauce goes with what!
