Overheard in a fast-food restaurant:

A: Who is Elvis Presley?

B: You don’t know Elvis Presley?!

A: No, I don’t. Who is Elvis Presley?

B: He invented rock.

A: Nope, I’ve never heard of him.

Say it ain't so! This is wrong on so many levels! It's bad enough that we have to re-educate folks on the origins of rock (I adore Elvis, but he didn't invent anything that wasn't already out there.). Now we have to have interventions to teach them that he even existed? Clearly this kid needs to watch more American Idol. ;)
