Which David to Win?
The American Idol Finale

The American Idol Winner is...

Dear Secret Law of the Universe,

This request is for my dear mother.

Please let David Cook be the American Idol Winner. It would make really make her day.

Remember when Ruben Studdard won? My mom was rooting for Clay Aiken. What resulted from that Aiken non-win was an over-compensating need to support Clay in whatever form he takes — CDs, DVDs, posters, magazine clippings, books, you name it, she’s got it. It’s been 5 years but she’d still say “Clay should have won!” each time Ruben is on.

Don’t get me wrong, she loooved David Archuleta from the start and had wished for a Double David finale but while she says she doesn’t mind the result going either way, she made me listen to David C’s performance on Youtube three times after the show ended because she insisted that “Simon heard it all wrong”.

So please, for my her sake, let it be David Cook for American Idol this year. :)

Thank you.

I'm out of it on this subject. I don't watch it, and am almost ashamed to admit it. I did live over in Norway for many years, and they also have an Idol program. I kind of liked it! Perhaps I should start following along over here as well.

I am also a big American Idol fan. I even wrote a post about this yesterday! I was rooting for David A. I thought he stole the Finale night until the results were given. Either way it was good.

@Pentad - I didn't purposely follow the show but my mum keeps talking about it so I've been kinda sucked into the world. Speaking of Norway Idol, Kurt Nilsen has one of the most amazing voices in the world!
@Shamelle - My mum was over the moon when the results were announced! Personally, I think both have the potential to make it big, so yup, it was all good.

I used to follow this show like it was a cult for seasons #2 & #3. I quite watching it cold turkey because my life revolved around American Idol. Sometimes I want to get back into it, but know that the dishes won't get washed, the dogs won't get fed and no work will get done until I've watched it. Although Clay didn't win, we has achieved so much more success than Ruben!
